Funded places are available for applicants wishing to commence an MA in Arts, Festivals and Cultural Management or MA in Participatory Arts starting in September 2026.
In line with Queen Margaret University’s (QMU) commitment to supporting skills development in Scotland, they have a number of funded places for Scottish based applicants wishing to commence an MA in Arts, Festivals and Cultural Management or MA in Participatory Arts starting in January 2026.
The deadline for applications for funded places is 31 August 2026. However, funded places are limited and will be offered to suitable applicants on a first-come-first-served basis, so they recommend early application.

MA Arts, Festivals and Cultural Management
Are you interested in shaping the future of the arts and cultural sector? This long-established and forward-thinking MA in Arts, Festival and Cultural Management will allow you to gain a better understanding of the management of cultural organisations and the individual factors that influence the environment in which they function. MA Participatory Arts
The course focuses on creative activities with communities, and looks at the history of socially engaged art. It provides students with the necessary knowledge, skills and experience to best prepare them for applying the arts and creativity to areas such as third-sector organisations, public health, social welfare, education or criminal justice. You will spend time exploring your own ethical frameworks of why and how such creative projects can operate in the social domain and develop financial and enterprise skills to establish and market yourself as a creative practitioner working in social contexts.
