Scottish Government have developed this survey to help them understand how people describe and enjoy culture, and what matters most to them. They are seeking your views on the things that you enjoy doing and if you experience any challenges in accessing different activities and places. They are doing this because we would like to gather different types of evidence, to better understand what everyday culture looks like and how it fits in our lives.
For more information on the Scottish Government’s vision for cultural engagement in Scotland please see their Culture Strategy.
The survey is voluntary and will take about 20 minutes to complete. It is made up of 10 open questions. The reason they have asked open questions is to let people explain their views to us in their own words in as much, or as little detail as they like. You will then be asked to provide some information about yourself (such as your age and local authority) to help understand people’s different experiences.
An Easy Read version of this survey is available to download on their website. This can be returned to them by email. For any other accessibility requirements, please contact Scottish Government through socialresearch@gov.scot.
Please note that while they value your input, this survey does not constitute a formal consultation, and individual responses will remain anonymous and will not be published on the Citizen Space platform.
