A new small grants scheme to support regional development in the Scottish Mental Health Arts Festival. With funding from Creative Scotland, Scottish Mental Health Arts Festival 2024 are offering grants of between £250 – £1000 to support regional events.
FUND GUIDELINES
Applications are open to all, but they are particularly interested in supporting events in areas that are underrepresented in our programme. These areas currently include Aberdeen, Dundee, Perth and Stirling, as well as rural areas anywhere in Scotland, and other areas with limited access to the arts.
They will also prioritise applications from anywhere in Scotland that directly engage communities who are most at risk of experiencing poor mental health. These include families at elevated risk, at-risk young people, refugees and asylum seekers, people living with long term conditions and people from racialised communities.
This fund is open to both organisations and individuals. It can support both new projects and ongoing work. They anticipate supporting projects across a diverse range of regional areas and communities.
All activity must take place as part of the Scottish Mental Health Arts Festival 2024, with public events taking place from 10 – 27 October 2024. It should also respond to the festival theme of ‘In/Visible’ in some way.
HOW TO APPLY
The fund is now open. Applications should be submitted through our online application form. The closing date for applications is 2pm, Tue 21 May 2024.
