Be part of shaping the creative landscape for Scotland’s young theatre-makers. Scottish Youth Theatre is inviting expressions of interest for the role of Chair of the Board at an exciting time of evolution for the organisation.
As they prepare for their 50th anniversary in 2027, they are reflecting on the impact – past, present and future – while working towards a more comprehensive creative offer for young theatre-makers across Scotland. The new Chair will come into an organisation with a committed board and small industrious staff team with big ambitions.
As Chair, they are looking for someone with:
> Previous experience in governance or leadership in the charitable sector
> An enthusiasm for theatre and supporting young people in the arts
> A collaborative approach
> Alignment with the values of the company
> A commitment to equity, diversity and inclusion
This is an unpaid role with reasonable expenses reimbursed. They will consider expressions of interest from people based outside Scotland provided they can commit to attend the annual in-person session and can clearly demonstrate the added value of their experience and connections.
