Sparks Performing Arts: Performing Arts Teacher

Sparks Performing Arts are recruiting a performing arts teacher to teach 5-12 year olds skills in acting, singing and dancing in Edinburgh.

They are looking for a enthusiastic and passionate teacher for our Wednesday after school classes in Corstorphine in Edinburgh. Classes are a combination of acting, singing and dancing, working with a class of up to 12 students, aged 5-8. In class children work towards solo LAMDA exams and performances in June and December. Initial hours will be Wednesdays 4pm-5.30pm paid at £37.50 starting on 23 April 2025.

Additional classes and holiday camp teaching will also be available for the right candidate after an initial trial period. All training will be provided, including LAMDA exam teacher training.

Responsibilities:
Plan and deliver lessons in acting, singing and dancing.
Collaborate with Principal and other teachers to create shows and performances.
Prepare students for solo LAMDA exams.
Give occasional feedback to parents about students’ progress.

Requirements:
A degree/diploma or equivalent in performing arts.
A PVG.
Previous teaching experience.
Lively and engaging personality.
Good behaviour management.
Strong communication skills.
A passion for the performing arts and musical theatre.
