Sparks Performing Arts are on the lookout for an additional performing arts teacher for their Wizard of Oz summer holiday camp in Portobello from 30 June – 4 July 2025, 9.30am-3.30pm.

The five day camp encompasses acting, singing and dancing. The children learn a show in a week and perform to family and friends on the final day. There are a maximum of 15 children in the camp and you will be working alongside another teacher. Full lesson plans are provided, as well as scripts and any class equipment.

Paid is £450 for the week.

Additional classes and holiday camp teaching will also be available for the right candidate.

Responsibilities:
– Working alongside another teacher delivering lessons in acting, singing and dancing. Helping the children to learn their show throughout the week.
– Lead arts and crafts in the afternoon.
– Ensure the safety and wellbeing of all the children at camp.
– Liaise with parents/carers when needed.

Requirements:
– A degree/diploma or equivalent in performing arts.
– A PVG.
– Previous teaching experience.
– Lively and engaging personality.
– Good behaviour management.
– Strong communication skills.
– A passion for the performing arts and musical theatre.
