Tortoise in a Nutshell are pleased to announce that they have two paid internship opportunities and are are looking for a Design Intern and Community Engagement Intern to join them for two weeks (27 October – 7 November 2025) in Edinburgh.

The purpose of these internships is to support the development of a Design Intern and Community Engagement Intern within a small theatre company team, to support their learning and to provide significant experience in developing a future career. Each of these internships has been designed for individuals who may have just graduated from higher education or are at the start of their career and are looking to establish careers within design or creative engagement.

The positions will include mentoring, as well as on the ground experience of working within a production and workshop settings.

Location: Edinburgh & on location as required/agreed
Fee: £882 based on real living wage
Term: 27 October – 7 November 2025.
Hours of Work: 30-35 hrs per week flexible working can be discussed.
