The Traverse Theatre are taking Class Act, their flagship education project, to Aberdeenshire and Ayrshire and are looking for inspiring, dynamic and encouraging facilitators.
As Class Act is constantly reactive to the needs and wants of young people and local communities and want to get to know some amazing freelancers to find perfect matches for the Class Act groups. They are interested in hearing from those with a strong connection to Aberdeenshire or Ayrshire, and those willing to travel to these areas. The Traverse Theatre welcomes submissions of interest from those currently underrepresented in Scottish theatre.
Class Act is the Traverse Theatre’s flagship education project that empowers young people to become writers, creating brand new scripts to be premiered live on stage. Over the next two years, the programme will be reaching young people across the length and breadth of the nation.
As a facilitator you would be attached to one of the participating Class Act groups and lead the delivery of the programme of workshops. They are looking for artists who work with writing as a core part of their artistic practice.
