Applications are now open for Outside Eyes, the Tron Theatre’s annual scratch night event, which takes place in their Main Auditorium. If you have a performance in your head that needs working out in front of an audience, then Outside Eyes is the place for you. The next Outside Eyes event will take place on 25 April 2023.

Each event presents a curated selection of brand new ideas from artists of all disciplines to an audience made up of peers, industry professionals and anyone who wants to see the newest, most exciting work Glasgow has to offer.

Getting involved is simple – just complete the application form, briefly letting them know who you are and the idea you would like to scratch. You can access the form here: https://www.tron.co.uk/creative/outsideeyes/
Successful applicants will:
• Be paid a fee of £130 (based on current ITC rates) for their performance on the night
• Have their performance professionally photographed
• Have written audience feedback collected, collated and returned after the event

Performances at Outside Eyes should last no more that fifteen minutes. It will be up to you to rehearse your piece and find collaborators prior to the event, rehearsal space and casting are not included. The night has a basic set up, and you’ll need to work with the lighting, sound and AV stock we have available to us on the day (which can vary in a busy venue like the Tron Theatre), but if you need something specific then let them know and they’ll see if they can accommodate you.

• Fill in the form (about 30 questions / 500 words in total).
• Plus you may also submit links to up to two additional supporting documents – a PDF / up to three images / video of max. five minutes / sound clip / script excerpt up to five pages.
