University of Glasgow: Support for Paid Internships

Closing date: Mon 3 Mar 2025: 12am

Glasgow/Greater Glasgow-based charities and third sector organisations can apply for funding to create paid student internships in partnership with the University of Glasgow.

The University of Glasgow’s Find A Solution programme funds and facilitates internships with third-sector organisations (including charities and CICs) during which University of Glasgow students work on short-term projects.

They want to expand our internship offer to include eligible organisations operating in the creative and cultural sector and have ring-fenced funding for this.

Projects should be focused on overcoming challenges or barriers organisations face and supporting an organisation’s civic/community engagement goals.

Successful organisations will receive funding to pay an intern at Living Wage (£12.60 per hour). Internships should start in June 2025 and end by 10 September 2025. Working patterns/hours per week can be discussed/agreed to suit your project. University of Glasgow will support you through the recruitment process to identify the best possible candidate, advertise the role, and complete basic quality and eligibility checks on the applications received. Organisations will review, shortlist and arrange interviews. Organisations will also onboard, provide a contract and pay the student as an employee, and invoice the University for the funding.

Deadline: 3 March 2025
