Wonder Fools: Positive Stories for Negative Times Festivals

Closing date: Thu 14 Nov 2024: 12pm

Last year, Wonder Fools in association with the Traverse Theatre and Youth Theatre Arts Scotland launched the very first Positive Stories Festivals as part of Positive Stories for Negative Times, which saw over 300 young people perform their chosen plays at major theatres around Scotland. These transformative events helped participants gain confidence, learn new skills and connect with their communities.

Building on the success of Positive Stories for Negative Times’ third season, we are all thrilled to announce the return of the Positive Stories Festivals with four new venues for 2025: @trontheatre@traversetheatre@theatreroyaldumfries and @anlanntair.

Participation is free and the deadline for festival applications is 12pm on Thursday 14 November.

Find out more about the project and how to apply by visiting positivestories.scot – we look forward to seeing you next summer!

Positive Stories for Negative Times is presented by Wonder Fools in association with the Traverse Theatre, Tron Theatre, Citizens Theatre, An Lanntair, Theatre Royal Dumfries, and Youth Theatre Arts Scotland, with plays co-commissioned by Wonder Fools and the Traverse Theatre. Supported by Creative Scotland, Barcapel Foundation, the Gannochy Trust, and the Hugh Fraser Foundation.
