Young Audiences Network Scotland: Access Panel

Closing date: Mon 7 Sep 2026: 6:00PM

Young Audiences Network Scotland (YANS) is looking to connect with freelance artists and practitioners to join a new Access Panel.

One of the aims YANS has identified is breaking down barriers for freelance artists and practitioners who want to engage with the sector. They want YANS to be a space that is open and transparent and addressing the needs of those working in the young audiences sector.

They are creating an Access Panel to inform the development of their work. At this point, the Access Panel will meet up to three times between September 2026 – March 2027. Meetings will take place online. Meetings beyond March 2027 will be identified at a later point. Meetings will last around 60 minutes and there will be some preparation to do in advance of meetings and participants will be compensated for their time with a fee of £100 per meeting.

They are looking to connect with artists and practitioners who are engaged in, or have an interest in the Young Audiences sector. They welcome notes of interest from artists and practitioners who have diverse experience: this includes those who have a disability, are d/Deaf, are neurodiverse, are from Black and Global Majority backgrounds and the LGBTIQA+ Community.

They want to develop the Access Panel into an evolving space where different voices can contribute at different times. In the first instance, they ask that Panel members participate in the first three meetings.
