Well, Youth Theatre Arts Scotland’s Next Generation Programme could be your chance to gain real-world skills, meet a crew of inspiring peers, and boost the ignition on your arts career.

This free support, development, and training programme is tailor-made for young people who have a connection to the youth theatre sphere. Whether your mission is being a youth theatre leader, artist, or future arts manager, this programme will give you the tools you need to thrive, realising your career potential and breathing fresh new life into the world of youth theatre.

Programme participants will take part in online and in-person training on a part-time basis between November 2024 and June 2025 to achieve an accredited SCQF Level 3 qualification. Participants can then choose to continue on their journey for a second year (until June 2026) to gain an SCQF Level 6 qualification if they wish.

What’s in it for you?

  • Part-time training from November 2024 to June 2025, online and in-person… Perfect to orbit around your busy schedule.
  • Develop foundational leadership skills and professional knowledge alongside 15-20 like-minded creatives.
  • Achieve an accredited SCQF Level 3 qualification, and the chance to progress to Level 6 in year two.
