YouthLink Scotland are currently recruiting young people to join their Youth Hub. If you work with a young person who is passionate about youth work (including youth theatre), please share this opportunity with them and support them to send over an expression of interest.
Become a YouthLink Scotland ambassador and join a community of young people from across Scotland to form the YouthLink Scotland Youth Hub. They know that many big decisions about young people happen without their involvement, but they also know the critical value of working with young people to make change happen. Therefore, YouthLink Scotland wants to bring together young people to create an inclusive Youth Hub, reflecting the breadth and diversity of Scotland’s young people and communities.
YouthLink Scotland is the national agency for youth work, they champion and advocate for the youth work sector so that all young people can access high-quality youth work. YouthLink Scotland Ambassadors will play an important role in various aspect of the organisation, ensuring the views of young people help guide the work of the organisation.
Current opportunities include:
- Assessing youth work funding programmes (Creative Scotland’s Youth Arts Fund taking place from August – November)
- Participating in the Voices for Impact programme which aims to amplify the voices of young people with local and national government.
- Engaging with stakeholders to promote the impact of youth work
- Providing a youth perspective on policies at national and international level.
We welcome expressions of interest from young people who.
- Are 16-25 years old
- Have a genuine interest in youth work and young people’s participation
- Are connected to or willing to connect with a youth group or organisation that supports young people.
- Are prepared to get involved in one Youth Hub activity per year.
- Are able to commit to the full duration of one full term (August 2026 – July 2027).
- Are enthusiastic and have a willingness to learn.
