The return of the highly popular BOOST Festival, a vibrant series of performances featuring the artistic talents of two hundred local people of all ages and backgrounds. Throughout the year, Dundee Rep and Scottish Dance Theatre host a dynamic programme of classes led by local dance and drama specialists, with the theatre’s three studio spaces bursting with life and creativity night after night. BOOST Festival showcases the work of these amazing groups in a unique line up of shows which all began with the same intriguing starting point – a Compass.

Here in a pen at Camperdown Zoo,
Lived Rory the Lion, who was feeling quite blue.
For she was only six and lived all alone,
She dreamed of having some friends of her own.
You see, Rory was clever and had goodies amassing,
Things that the visitors would drop in their passing.
Bottles and cans which became instruments for the lion,
A musical cacophony without even trying!
Some sticks which could build a big boat if she pleased,
She could set sail on the Atlantic and travel far East.
And just like that her mind started to unravel,
Just how far could this gold compass travel?
With a spirit of wanderlust, she longed to see it all,
To explore the world beyond Camperdown’s walls…
