The Traverse is delighted to be presenting the Class Act Showcase 2024.

This year’s scripts have been created by young people from Firrhill High School, Craigroyston High School, Tynecastle High School, Leith Academy, Trinity High School and Intercultural Youth Scotland.

Each script will be brought to life by a team of professional theatre-makers including directors, actors, filmmakers and musicians.

Placing professional playwrights into each school to transform students into writers and storytellers, Class Act provides creative support and a safe space for participants, encouraging them to express themselves freely and imagine without inhibition. The results address what they feel passionate about, and each script crackles with unparalleled energy.
