Fringe Days Out 2026

YTAS have partnered with our friends at Fringe Days Out again this year to take our members to the Edinburgh Festival Fringe – for free!

We had opportunities for young people and practitioners alike for Fringe Days Out 2026.

To help you narrow down the options and take the pain out of organising a group outing, check out our Picks of the Fringe list, where we’ve scoured through the billions of pages of Fringe shows so you don’t have to.

Fringe Days Out: Youth Theatre Day Trips

For 2026, our Organisation: Plus members could apply for £100 vouchers to take their young people to the Fringe. There were six vouchers in total, and members could apply for a maximum of two per organisation. Tickets were open to all Organisation: Plus members across Scotland, and we were particularly interested in applications from groups who have not benefited from the programme before.

Fringe Days Out: Artist Trips

We didn’t forgot about the leaders! We know that seeing theatre is such an important part of the creative process, but that tickets are not always affordable. As with previous years, YTAS wanted to help you to see more shows.

Fringe trips were open to Individual members and Organisation: Plus members, and there were three occasions in August to join YTAS and around eight other artists to see two shows, have a drink, and chat about the work.

These informal events were a great way to meet other artists and to see work that you might not otherwise book for yourself.

The dates and shows were…
