Fringe Days Out

YTAS have partnered again this year with Fringe Days Out to provide our members the opportunity to take your practitioners and young people to the Edinburgh Festival Fringe – for free!

Since starting as a pilot programme in 2017, nearly 10,000 people have been given the opportunity to have a Fringe Day Out at one of the world’s greatest celebrations of arts and culture, right here in Scotland.

This year YTAS have over £2000-worth of tickets available for our members and we want you to take them all! Tickets are open to all members across Scotland.

Fringe Days Out: Youth Theatre Day Trips

SOLD OUT

Want to take your young people to the Edinburgh Festival Fringe – for free? Well, YTAS have allocated half of our £2000-worth of tickets so that our member groups can take their young people for a Fringe Day Out!

Allocations will be confirmed on a first-come, first-served basis and a member of the YTAS team will book the tickets for you. It’s that easy.

When you apply, you will need to know:

  • The show you want to see
  • The date and time of your performance
  • The venue of your selected performance
  • How many young people you want to bring

Fringe Days Out: Artists’ Days Out

Don’t worry, theatre trips are not just for young people. We also want to take YOU – the artists, practitioners, leaders, assistants – to the Fringe! Free Fringe tickets? Free drinks? Travel support? What more could you ask for?

We know that seeing theatre is such an important part of the creative process but that tickets are not always affordable. This year, YTAS want to help you to see more shows.

Artists and Leaders of all levels and experience are invited to join the YTAS team for your own day trip! For three Thursdays in August, groups of ten artists will see two shows together with the option to talk shop over a drink afterwards. The YTAS team have selected shows that are interesting, contrasting and maybe not what you would book for yourself – or are on the pricey end of the Fringe.

You will be asked to select your preferred date and to let us know if you have any access needs. Shows will be booked in July and will be start no earlier than 11am or end later than 9pm. When signing up you will be asked to select the day that suits you best, so please take in consideration the timings and travel in and out of the city.
