The wellbeing of our youth theatre workforce continues to be a priority for YTAS and our members, so we support access to an Employee Assistance Programme (EAP) for our individual* members. Led by our partners at Education Support, the EAP offers workers access to support that will help them deal with any personal issues which might impact work, health, or wellbeing. It provides access to a free, confidential, and independent information, support and guidance service.
Our individual members have automatic access to the EAP, as part of their membership. If you’re not a member yet, join us and get access to this and a range of other benefits for as little as £15 a year https://ytas.org.uk/about-ytas/membership/
How does it work?
Those who are registered with the Employee Assistance Programme (EAP) will be provided with a phone number and confidential code to access assistance on any of the following topics:
- Support and counselling for home/life or work-related issues
- Financial and debt enquiries
- Legal enquires
- Support for managers
- General information
Last year, over 100 individuals made use of this service through YTAS, allowing members to access specific anonymous care and advice whenever and wherever they needed it. Just as a reminder though, we will never know who used the service or what was discussed.
How do I sign up?
As of 2023, we have provided our individual members* with automatic access to the EAP, as part of their membership. If you have any questions, you can email Emma Barr, Sector Development Manager, at emma@ytas.org.uk.
*Sorry, this is for individual YTAS members only at this stage, not organisations.
