If so, find out more about Community and Applied Arts Practice at the Fair Access Expo on Fri 7 June 2024, 10am – 3.30pm, taking place at The Boardwalk, 105 Brunswick Street, Glasgow, G1 1TF.
At this exciting all-day event, they’re inviting you to:
• Come and Make Theatre
• Come and Get Moving
• Come and Make Music
• Come and Tell a Story
Join practical sessions with experienced community artists. They’ll share their skills and show you how they work creatively with all sorts of communities. Come and learn about the stories that matter.
What is Community Arts Practice? It’s a springboard to careers in teaching, directing, performance making, youth work, community music, arts in health and wellbeing, community education, play work, arts funding, creative learning in arts and cultural organisations and so much more!
Fair Access will prioritise places for young people aged 16-25 where the young person meets one or more of the following criteria:
• Living at an SIMD20 postcode
• Care experienced and/or estranged
• Black and/or Indigenous Person of Colour (BIPOC) living at an SIMD20 or SIMD40 postcode
If you are a young person living very rurally (eg on an island), you may be eligible. Please get in touch with us via WACI@rcs.ac.uk and they will let you know if you can apply.
