Calling all 16-23 year olds from West Lothian – Firefly are inviting applications for their new employability project Firefly Futures.

Starting later this month, this year-long, creative programme is open to young people aged 16–23 from across West Lothian. It’s completely free to take part and designed especially for those who thrive in hands-on, creative or non-traditional learning environments. 

From backstage tours and live performances to conversations with producers, designers and other industry professionals, Firefly Futures offers real insight into the world of theatre and the wider creative industries. 

Participants will visit exciting venues like Edinburgh Playhouse (Tina the Musical + backstage tour), the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland and Almond Valley Heritage Centre to gain real, hands-on experience that builds confidence and strengthens the skills section on your CV. 

No experience needed. They just ask for enthusiasm, curiosity and a willingness to try something new.
