Stirling University Drama Society (SUDS) return to Macrobert with a collection of self-written plays. Written, produced and performed by SUDS members, these original one-act pieces will be thoughtful and entertaining. Out of this collection, one will be selected to be taken to Edinburgh Fringe 2026. Come along to the intimate Playhouse space to support SUDS and their talented writers and actors.

The Proposal Written and Directed by Yehor Boichenko
August, a young waiter at a failing restaurant, has to plan a proposal for the owner’s nephew. However the plan is disrupted when Sally Clief, the nephew’s former wife, tries to sabotage matters.

What a Way to Go Written and Directed by Niamh McMullin
Following the death of their father, siblings Kevin, Karen and Kirsten engage in an all-or-nothing competition to be the one with their name on the deeds to the family home. But there may be one small problem. Their elderly mother Sue isn’t dead. Yet.

Shrink to Fit Written by Rory Caskie, Directed by Summer Holly
Phinleigh, a whimsically optimistic aspiring writer, moves to Gristlin to start his new life. Through starting a job and joining a local writing society, he begins to learn that Gristlin isn’t all that it’s cracked up to be.

Stuck in Mind Written and Directed by Ioanna Lagonika
Sophie, 25, comes head to head with Time, Love and Success while locked in a room she can’t get out of.
