Inspired by Haruki Murakami’s The Strange Library, this surreal new play invites audiences into a hidden world beneath the quiet shelves of an ordinary library.
A curious child stumbles into a labyrinth of birdlike librarians, paper people, whispering sheep, and a many-eyed old man who guards knowledge with a terrible price.
What begins as an innocent search for a book becomes a journey through shadow, wonder, and dread where escape is never certain, and the stories may consume more than you bargain for.
Following this performance, Midnight Library can be seen as part of July’s National Festival of Youth Theatre at Eden Court in Inverness.
