The British Council’s International Collaboration Grants (ICG) have helped to support inspiring cultural collaborations around the world.
Through grants of between £25,000 and £75,000, UK artists, arts professionals and organisations have developed new connections and partnerships with their peers around the world.
In 2026, ICG is paused, but they are expanding Connections Through Culture, their consolidated arts grants programme supporting international cultural collaboration between UK-based and international artists, creative practitioners, cultural professionals and organisations.
Connections Through Culture is now open for applications to develop new work between the UK and partners in 35 participating countries. Apply for a grant of between £5,000 and £15,000 by 12 August.
- Applications open: Wednesday 17 June 2026
- Application deadline: Wednesday 12 August 2026 at 23:59 BST
- Notification of decision: from October 2026
- Online information sessions: Tuesday 30 June and Wednesday 1 July.
- Project delivery: must take place between December 2026* and December 2027.
*Please note: successful applicants must not start funded activity or incur grant-funded costs before a grant agreement has been signed.
