National Convention of Youth Drama 2020 postponement

This morning (16/03/20) we took the decision to postpone the National Convention of Youth Drama on Friday 20 March.

YTAS has been actively monitoring the evolving situation relating to the novel coronavirus (COVID-19). The health and safety of all is at the forefront of our minds, and therefore we feel that it is an unnecessary risk to assemble a large group of people together, asking them to travel from far and wide to get to Glasgow under difficult circumstances.

We also feel the timing isn’t right to focus on the topics of the day and give the subject the serious consideration it deserves. We still plan to return to these and reschedule the event later in 2020 or 2021. In the meantime, we will cancel the event on Eventbrite, to ensure a full refund of fees paid. Any invoices for fees which have already been paid to YTAS will be refunded by the end of April.

We sincerely apologise for any inconvenience this may cause and look forward to welcoming you to the rescheduled event once we have a date for this.

We appreciate your co-operation during this difficult and fast-moving situation. If you have any questions or concerns please don’t hesitate to contact us on info@ytas.org.uk or call us during office hours on 0131 538 0591.

Tuesday 10 February was a busy day out and about for some of our team, representing the youth theatre sector at both YouthLink Scotland’s Digital Youth Work Conference and at SCVO’s Gathering. Here are our team’s reflections from both events and the sessions they attended.
