Join Culture for Climate Scotland for an online session exploring effective ways of evaluating arts-climate projects.
They know that projects that use arts-based methods to address climate change issues can be immensely valuable. But it can feel difficult to find evaluation methods for arts-climate projects that are rigorous but sensitive to the forms of value that arts-based work offers and the complexity of the systems we are trying to shift.
This online workshop session will explore effective ways of evaluating arts-climate projects, drawing on the findings from embedded researcher Emma Hall’s four-year PhD research project with Culture for Climate Scotland. They will share Emma Hall’s evaluation framework, discuss what a values-led and complexity-appropriate approach to evaluation looks like, and work through an exercise to understand how you can use this approach in your own work.
The event will involve a mixture of presentations and active discussion with attendees, including:
> A presentation on the evaluation framework, including the underlying principles and how these are applied in practice
> Examples of effective evaluation methods from arts-climate projects
> Space for discussion and knowledge sharing between attendees
> An exercise looking at your own evaluation approaches with an opportunity to get feedback
