A nation wide celebration of the role of the arts in health and well-being.
Whether it’s dance classes, choir rehearsals, creative writing workshops or pot throwing, every day in Scotland, fantastic events take place all across the country that help improve people’s wellbeing.
Healing Arts Scotland is a week-long celebration of these events, highlighting the joy they bring to those who take part, and their importance to the nation’s physical, mental and social health. The week runs from 19 – 23 August 2024.
Key events include outdoor performances, two days of speakers and panel discussions on the impact of healing arts activity, a Wellbeing Concert in Glasgow and a series of special events in Aberdeen, Orkney and Lewis.
All events are free to attend and everyone across Scotland is welcome to register an event they would like to be included on the Healing Arts Scotland website. Getting involved will help highlight how many brilliant events take place across Scotland, encouraging more people to take part, and highlight their importance.

ARTIST BURSARIES
Bursaries are available to support freelance artists across any art form to attend Healing Arts Scotland activity. Attending the conference and events is free to everyone. Thanks to funding from Creative Scotland, they are delighted that Scottish Ballet & The Work Room are able to offer 15 bursaries of £100 to freelance artists towards their costs in attending any day of the festival. These bursaries are available to freelance artists working across any art form.
