Racial Literacy Training

Join YouthLink Scotland on Tue 4 February 2025, 10am – 12 noon, for this online training which will introduce youth workers to the concept of racial literacy, look at how they can develop their practice to be more inclusive of black and minority ethnic young people, understand the impact of dominant identities and what the barriers to participation for young people are.

This training will be led by staff from Project Esperanza, a charity based in North Edinburgh offering practical, emotional, and integration support to families of African heritage but also supporting a huge based of people from multi-ethnic backgrounds.

Recording your Professional Learning

Participating in this training can be recorded as two hours of Professional Learning time, contributing to the 35 hours per year (pro rata) required for membership of the CLD Standards Council, another professional body, or your own learning and development plan. When recording your professional learning you may want to reflect on your development from this event concerning the relevant CLD Competences and CLD Ethics.
