Create Paisley (CREATE) is an innovative youth arts project aiming to reduce loneliness and inequality. CREATE began in response to local young people looking for a safe, inspiring space.

Through a mix of programmes, young people are supported to develop skills, support networks and strength to succeed and fulfil their ambitions. CREATE now runs programmes across six locations in Renfrewshire.

Their goal is to increase this support for young people, offering them more opportunities that fit in line with their vision to see ‘young people transformed through creativity, community, confidence and finding their voice’.

CREATE is currently working through a period of change, and their Board is one which is both enthusiastic and passionate about the charity’s cause. CREATE is currently looking for a Trustee to join their Board.

The Trustee will be experienced in policy and policy development (in areas such as HR & finance). The incoming Trustee will have strong writing capabilities as well as the ability to Chair the Policy Subcommittee, and experience of agenda setting, policy reviews and schedules.

Previous board experience would be advantageous for both positions, as well as having experience of working with/within the charity sector.
