Framework Theatre Company are delighted to be supporting Scottish Graduate Showcase by aiding the recruitment of their Assistant Director for 2025.
They are supporting the recruitment of an early-career director to assist the lead director on the Showcase. They are particularly interested in hearing from directors underrepresented in Scottish Theatre, including global majority directors, d/Deaf and disabled directors and working class directors.
About Scottish Graduate Showcase
The Scottish Graduate Showcase is a graduate scheme designed to help students transition from further education into the professional Scottish Theatre industry. It was founded by Molly Jayne-Graham in 2023. Molly graduated from The Royal Birmingham Conservatoire in 2023 and wanted to establish a career in Scottish Theatre. Molly now produces the Graduate Showcase, which features 24 actors, directed by a leading Scottish Theatre Director. This year’s showcase will take place at the Citizens Theatre on 18 November 2025 and will be directed by Fiona Mackinnon.
About Framework Theatre
Framework Theatre is a charity run by emerging theatre-makers, for emerging theatre-makers. They support the development of early-career artists in Scotland. They aim to create new work championing underrepresented new voices and developing new routes into the sector. They prioritise access, diversity and fair work across their projects.

Show: 18 November 2025
Directors should:
– Self identify as an emerging/early-career theatre-maker.
– Must be permanently based in Scotland.
– Must be based within commuting distance of Glasgow.
Fee: £1019.84 inclusive of Holiday Pay (breaking down to seven days work at £130/day, plus holiday pay at 12.07%) + Access Support Provided
