Outer Spaces are seeking expressions of interest from artists, creative groups and organisations interested in a temporary space.

This potential new art space in Renfrewshire is large and expansive and would suit a variety of arts practices and uses including studio space, rehearsal space and art storage.

The property offers:
• Access between 6am – midnight.
• Generous parking space
• Regular busses between Clydebank and Paisley
• Former offices which could support approx.150 artists. This includes both open plan and self-contained spaces
• One very large warehouse which could support artists and creative organisations with storage, fabrication of large works, or rehearsal space
• Canteen and kitchen space
• Lighting and electricity
• Good natural light (with some fantastic views) and windows that open.
• Toilets on all floors
(Unfortunately, the building is not heated and does not offer step-free access).

Please know that Outer Spaces offer artists rent-free, temporary workspace. If we are able to progress, they will not know how long we will have access to this property for and can only offer artists a minimum of one week’s notice. Services are also limited in order to keep the spaces free of charge. For example, buildings do not have Wi-Fi, cleaners or waste collection. Instead, they support a self-managed model of studio provision in which artists are collectively responsible for the upkeep and day-to-day management of the building.
