PQA West Lothian is looking for a lively, creative Poppets Teacher to join their weekend performing arts academy.
The Poppets sessions are bursting with energy, imagination and play and they’re looking for a Teaching Assistant who can help bring that magic to life. Each week, you’ll support our youngest performers (ages 4–6) as they explore stories, songs and characters. One Saturday they might be blasting off into outer space; the next they’re diving under the sea. It’s joyful, high energy work where creativity leads the way.
What You’ll Bring
They’re looking for someone with:
• A performing arts background, including training in acting, singing and dance
• Experience working with early years children
• A warm, dynamic presence and excellent communication skills
• A natural sense of humour and the ability to create a safe, encouraging environment
• A genuine passion for teaching and a commitment to developing your craft
• A professional, punctual and reliable approach
• Preferably your own transport, as the early start time and limited public transport options can make travel challenging
A PVG check is required as part of safer recruitment.
Role Details
• Freelance position
• Weekly on Saturdays, 41 sessions per year
• 8.45am–10.45am at Craigsfarm Community Hub, Livingston
• £25 per session (including prep time), with potential increases based on experience and responsibilities
• Immediate start available (subject to PVG checks)
