Calling all emerging artists aged 18-28 based in Aberdeen. Scratch That is your chance to take centre stage and test your newest and most innovative ideas with a live audience. They’re looking for four original 10–20-minute performance excerpts that are ready to be shared at an exciting showcase event at Aberdeen Arts Centre in February 2025.
Scratch That artists will benefit from free rehearsal space, input from a leading industry professional to help craft the performance and valuable production and technical support.
Whether you’re a solo artist or small collective, this is a unique opportunity to develop new ideas in a supported environment, receive valuable feedback when it’s in its early stages and connect with fellow artists and audiences in Aberdeen. If you’re eager to push boundaries and make your mark on the Scottish new theatre-making scene, they want to hear from you.
Selected artists/collectives will receive…
- A performance slot at Aberdeen Arts Centre
- Directorial and dramaturgical support from a leading industry professional
- Rehearsal space at Aberdeen Arts Centre for an agreed number of hours
- Production and technical support from the AAC and SYT teams
- Curated feedback from industry professionals and a live audience on the showcase night
- A budget of £150 for production costs and expenses
