Now in their tenth successful year, The Edinburgh Lighting and Sound School and the Edinburgh Stage Management School offer the opportunity to spend nine months studying entertainment lighting, sound, production skills and stage management in the City of Edinburgh. The Masters in Stage Management is delivered in partnership with Queen Margaret University, one year to 18 months duration.

Studying with Edinburgh Stage Management School is intensive and vocational. The programme has been created to equip students with the technical skills and working cultural knowledge for a career in the entertainment industry. The programme is delivered by a dedicated team of practicing professionals with many decades of experience between them.

Visiting lecturers from the fields of theatre, film and events complement the core teaching, as well as frequent venue site visits to explore techniques and technologies. Edinburgh Stage Management School have an extensive placement programme which serves to enhance industry involvement. All students have the opportunity to work in the Edinburgh Festival Fringe.
