Toonspeak Young People’s Theatre: Funding Officer

Toonspeak are currently seeking a talented, reliable person to fill the post of Funding Officer. Toonspeak exists to create authentic, high quality arts experiences and improve the lives of young people who engage in them. They are a Youth led organisation creating unique exciting creative programmes that release young people’s potential

In exchange for your hard work and commitment they can offer a chance to work for an award winning charity at a key exciting stage of their development. The post holder will hold a key role in developing funding applications, working closely with the Head of Finance and Operations to achieve the Income targets.

The core purpose of the role is to generate income to sustain the company and the pioneering projects and programmes Toonspeak delivers across Glasgow. If you have limited experience but would be interested in the role, please get in touch; strong communication skills (written and verbal), a can-do attitude and passion for building relationships are the key building blocks for this role and training will be provided at the level needed to fulfil it.

Salary: £26,250.00 (pro rata)
Hours/Terms: 28 hours per week. Flexible work options are available, including home working, they would also consider this post being delivered on a freelance/fee basis, talk to them about this before applying. 28 holiday days per year inclusive of Bank Holidays, you are required to take two weeks (eight days) at Christmas as part of this entitlement when they close the offices.
Location: can be delivered in different ways to suit and support the best work/life balance for you with some time being spent at the BCDC office attending in person meetings, they are happy to discuss individual requirements with you to create the best possible work/life balance.
Key aims:
– Develop funding applications for submission to both private and public sources
– Actively research funding streams to help them deliver on core revenue targets.
– Support in the Monitoring & Evaluation of their work, and develop and submit reports for funders and sponsors.
